About inDepth Apnea
Breath-hold training on your phone, with optional Garmin apps for the pool, dry training and depth diving.
Who makes it?
Mariusz Kociubinski founded inDepth Apnea. The project started with a practical wish: better surface-rest tracking, alarms and dive history on the Garmin watches he used. That purpose still shapes the apps. You can read the founder’s introduction on the home page.
The phone app works without a watch. Blue, Pool and Dry add watch-based recording and training on supported Garmin models. Start with the user guides for setup and limitations, or download the apps.
Why we publish these guides
inDepth Apnea is the publisher of this site and its guides. We also make the products discussed here, so comparisons involving inDepth have a clear product interest. They are not independent product reviews. Our guides use AI-assisted drafting and editing; the organization attribution identifies the publisher, not a claim that the founder personally authored or reviewed every article.
We focus on questions that affect whether an app is useful on your actual watch: compatibility, pressure data available to Connect IQ, installation and the limits of rest countdowns. Manufacturer documentation describes native features. Our own measurements describe specific devices and conditions. Those are different kinds of evidence.
How to read our evidence
- Measured: a recorded result on a particular device. The method and tested range matter; one run is not certification of a whole watch family.
- Reported: a diver’s observation we have not reproduced with instruments.
- Inferred: an expectation based on related devices, not a test of that model.
- Unknown: we do not have enough evidence to publish a reading.
The depth evidence page keeps these labels beside each model and includes a limited pressure-chamber dataset. App support, sensor accuracy and manufacturer diving approval must be checked separately. Software formulas do not measure your physical recovery or certify that a dive is safe. Our surface-interval guide explains that boundary.
Sources and corrections
Guides link to relevant manufacturer manuals, competitor documentation and safety organizations. A checked date describes when we consulted a source; it does not guarantee that a price, feature or firmware behavior will stay the same.
Found a mistake or have a device result to share? Email support@in-depth.app with the page URL, the claim, and a source or test details. For watch measurements, include the model, firmware, conditions and whether you used a reference instrument. Do not send private location data unless it is needed for your support request. We can correct a claim without treating one report as proof for every related watch.
